Responding to the "Make the World Cleaner" campaign in 2023, on the morning of September 26, at Tam Coc Ferry (Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District), the Vietnam Women's Union coordinated with the Provincial Women's Union to organize the program "Green Market - Protecting the Rural Environment".
Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of Vietnam Women's Union; Tran Song Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Do Viet Anh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission...
Also attending were representatives of a number of Central ministries, branches and organizations; leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and units; representatives of the Women's Union of districts and cities, and 500 women's union members in Hoa Lu district.

Speaking at the opening of the Program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, said: For many years, the Vietnam Women's Union has always considered environmental protection as one of its core activities, actively coordinating with all levels, sectors, and organizations to mobilize and support women to participate in many practical activities on environmental protection.

The media event "Green Market - Protecting Rural Environment" with the theme "Joining hands for a cleaner world" contributes to raising public awareness of environmental protection; encouraging community activities and movements for the environment, towards a green economy, circular economy and sustainable development; effectively implementing Vietnam's commitments to the international community on environmental protection and climate change adaptation.
In that spirit, the Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union called for joint action, building a sustainable lifestyle, friendly to nature; rationally using natural resources, protecting biodiversity by sorting waste at the source, limiting the use of plastic bags and disposable plastic products; actively planting trees, afforesting, protecting forests; implementing organic waste treatment, encouraging the use of environmentally friendly products, forming and maintaining good habits to contribute to environmental protection, making the world cleaner and the country develop harmoniously and sustainably.
Speaking at the Program, Comrade Tran Song Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Ninh Binh Province highly appreciates the event "Green Market - Protecting the rural environment" with the message "Every woman, every citizen plays an important role in environmental protection, from the smallest things. Treat nature well every day, each person's small action will bring great results. Every individual, every female member is a positive piece, working together for the environment and for our own future" organized by the Vietnam Women's Union in the historic Hoa Lu ancient capital. This is one of the specific and practical activities in environmental protection.

In response to the event, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Party committees and authorities at all levels; agencies, organizations, people and especially members of the Women's Union at all levels in the province: Strengthen propaganda and mobilization work for union members and members to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws on environmental work. Especially the policies set forth by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the locality.
Mobilize all union members, members and families to synchronously implement environmental protection solutions through specific programs such as: "Responding to the movement to plant 1 billion trees", "using chemicals of natural origin", "limiting the use of plastic bags", "recycling waste", "limiting the use of paper"... with specific and practical actions.
Actively participate in the movement to build a "green - clean - beautiful" rural environment combined with the development of community eco-tourism, associated with the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's".
There are forms of rewards and recognition for groups and individuals with good practices and advanced typical models for replication.
Immediately after the end of this event, agencies, units, organizations, households and individuals in Ninh Binh province should demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, join hands to protect the environment for a sustainable society, for our lives today and for the future.
Within the framework of the event, delegates watched a short play on the topic of environmental protection performed by artists; interactive games; folk dance "Coming to my Vietnamese people" and visited booths displaying recycled products, safe clean products, OCOP products from 3 stars in the locality; photo exhibition with the theme "Women join hands to protect the environment" and organized a collection point for recycled and reused waste.
