The “My Business Growth” (AMB) project, approved by the Vietnam Women's Union, aims to enhance TYM's clients' capacity in business startup and project management. This initiative was conceived in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, when more than 40% of small, micro, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in ASEAN were severely affected, especially those owned by women.

The The TYM Board of Directors took a commemorative photo with TYM Thanh Hoa customers on the occasion of receiving the business development award for female owners of small and micro enterprises in the "Grow My Business" project, phase 1.

Following its success in Malaysia and Indonesia, where 6,500 female business owners were trained, the AMB project has expanded to Vietnam with the goal of supporting 25,000 female entrepreneurs to develop their businesses and participate in the digital economy .

In Thanh Hoa, according to Mr. Nguyen Nhu Dien, Director of TYM Thanh Hoa Branch: Immediately after the AMB project was implemented, TYM Thanh Hoa successfully organized 4 online training courses on "Sales Skills" for TYM customers; training more than 3,000 customers with knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship and business, financial literacy, and the use of digital technology in business... to help them use TYM loans more effectively, take control of their household economy, contribute to improving the status of women in society, promote gender equality, and bring economic benefits and efficiency to the digital transformation process. Among the more than 3,000 TYM Thanh Hoa customers who received business startup certificates, many women have applied the knowledge learned to their business models in a practical, effective, and sustainable way. In 2024, TYM Thanh Hoa had 8 clients who were honored with the "First Business Development Award for Female Entrepreneurs" by the AMB project, including 2 first-place winners and 6 second-place winners, with a total prize value of 50 million VND. In addition, the clients participated in a seminar on "Applying Digital Technology to Help Women Balance Business Development and Unpaid Caregiving"; and visited a series of activities and learning sessions in Hanoi. This served as a great motivation for TYM's clients to participate in the project, and also enabled TYM to build its reputation and position in supporting training and capacity building for its clients.

Ms. Trieu Tuyet Mai, from Chien Thang village, Ngu Loc commune (Hau Loc district), is one of TYM Thanh Hoa's customers who proudly won first prize in the business development award for female small and micro-enterprise owners of the AMB project, phase 1. She shared, "After completing the course and receiving the certificate from the AMB project, I started developing a business idea for dried shrimp. Because my family has a tradition of processing seafood, the raw materials are readily available locally, eliminating the need to purchase from elsewhere, thus reducing transportation costs. As a result, the products are always fresh and of guaranteed quality. Every year, my family buys tens of tons of fresh shrimp from fishermen for processing. With a revenue of 120 million VND/month, my business model has created jobs for 5 local workers."

"The funding from TYM and the training course from the AMB project have completely changed my life. Now, I can not only expand my production model but also create jobs for many local workers. Today's award is a great encouragement, giving me more confidence on the path ahead," shared Ms. Mai.

Currently, TYM Thanh Hoa operates in 8 districts/towns/cities with 774 branches and 28,975 customers. Disbursed capital has reached over 741 billion VND, outstanding loans exceed 447.4 billion VND, and outstanding savings exceed 221 billion VND. Notably, 8,112 customers (accounting for 27.9%) are using the TYM mobile application, contributing to the promotion of digital transformation in microfinance operations.
