The “Grow My Business” (AMB) project was approved by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union to enhance the capacity of TYM’s clients in business start-up and project management knowledge. This initiative was formed in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, when more than 40% of small, micro and medium enterprises in ASEAN were severely affected, especially those owned by women.

“Grow My Business” Project at TYM Thanh Hoa: Giving wings to women's dreams of getting rich The Board of Directors of TYM took a souvenir photo with TYM Thanh Hoa customers on the occasion of receiving the business development award for female small and micro business owners of the project "Grow my business" phase 1.

Following its success in Malaysia and Indonesia with 6,500 trained female business owners, the AMB project has expanded to Vietnam with the goal of supporting 25,000 female entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and participate in the digital economy.

In Thanh Hoa, according to Mr. Nguyen Nhu Dien, Director of TYM Thanh Hoa Branch: Immediately after the AMB project was implemented, TYM Thanh Hoa successfully organized 4 online training courses on "Sales skills" for TYM customers; trained more than 3,000 customers in knowledge and skills on entrepreneurship and business, financial literacy, using digital technology in business... to use TYM's loans more effectively, master the household economy, contribute to improving the position of women in society, promote gender equality, and at the same time bring economic benefits and efficiency to the digital transformation process. Among more than 3,000 customers of TYM Thanh Hoa who were granted business start-up certificates, many women have applied the knowledge they learned into their business models in a practical, effective and sustainable way. In 2024, TYM Thanh Hoa has 8 customers honored to receive the AMB project award "First Business Development for Female Business Owners", of which 2 women won first prize, 6 women won second prize with a total prize value of 50 million VND. In addition, customers can attend the seminar "Applying digital technology to help women balance business development and unpaid care"; visit a series of activities and study in Hanoi. This is a great motivation for TYM's customers to participate in the project, and is also a condition for TYM to create prestige and position in supporting training to improve capacity for customers.

Ms. Trieu Tuyet Mai, in Chien Thang village, Ngu Loc commune (Hau Loc) is one of the TYM Thanh Hoa customers who was honored to win first prize in the business development award for female small and micro business owners of the AMB project, phase 1, sharing "After I completed the course and was awarded a certificate from the AMB project, I started to come up with the idea of doing dried shrimp business. Because my family has a tradition of making seafood, the local raw materials are available, not having to buy from other places, so transportation costs are reduced. Thanks to that, the products are always fresh and delicious, with guaranteed origin and quality. Every year, my family buys dozens of tons of fresh shrimp from fishermen for processing. With a revenue of 120 million VND/month, my business model has created jobs for 5 local workers".

"TYM's capital and the AMB project's course have completely changed my life. Now, I can not only expand my production model but also create jobs for many local workers. Today's award is a great encouragement, helping me feel more confident on the road ahead" - Ms. Mai shared.

Currently, TYM Thanh Hoa is operating in 8 districts/towns/cities with 774 clusters and 28,975 customers. The capital disbursed is over 741 billion VND, outstanding loans are over 447.4 billion VND, and savings are over 221 billion VND. Notably, 8,112 customers (accounting for 27.9%) are using the TYM mobile application, contributing to promoting digital transformation in microfinance activities.
