This afternoon, October 17, Hanoi time, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam arrived in Vientiane, starting an official visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic and attending the 45th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-45) at the invitation of the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Chairman of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Saysomphone Phomvihane.
Welcoming National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his delegation at Wattay International Airport, Vientiane, on the Lao People's Democratic Republic side were Vice Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Sommad Pholsena; Vice Chairman of the Lao Foreign Affairs Committee Vandee Butthasavong; Deputy Secretary General of the National Assembly Akhom Praseut and relevant agencies.
On the Vietnamese side, there were Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam; officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Lao People's Democratic Republic and representatives of the Vietnamese community in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
During the visit, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man is expected to attend the official welcoming ceremony, hold talks with Chairman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Saysomphone Phomvihane; witness the Cooperation Agreement between the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lao National Assembly; and witness the signing ceremony of the Minutes of Establishing Friendly Cooperation Relations between Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province and Luang Prabang City, Luang Prabang Province, Laos.
During this visit, it is expected that National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man will pay courtesy visits, meet and interact with a number of senior leaders of the country. Lao People's Democratic Republic; visited some former senior leaders of Laos.

This is the first official visit to Laos as Chairman of the National Assembly of Comrade Tran Thanh Man and his attendance at AIPA-45, which is of special importance and significance to the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation. Vietnam-Laos.

Also joining the delegation were Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam; leaders of the Central External Relations Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Assembly Office, and the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee.
