According to FPT, at the meeting with the Vietnamese technology community, Mr. Narayana Murthy will share his practical experiences in business, management, and building corporate culture... the factors that have helped him and his colleagues turn Infosys from an unknown company into a technology company with global influence. In addition, he will also discuss with the Vietnamese technology community about promoting innovation in businesses, the development of new technology trends, and opportunities for the Vietnamese information technology industry.

Mr. Narayana Murthy - co-founder of Infosys software company, a highly influential figure in India - visited and worked at FPT for the first time. The event was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh and FPT General Director, VINASA Chairman Nguyen Van Khoa along with representatives of IT enterprises, experts and IT engineers.

Billionaire Narayana Murthy's working schedule at FPT lasts from May 19-23. In addition to visiting to learn about the working environment, the Indian billionaire also had meetings and shared with FPT about the potential of the IT industry in the general context of the world.

The visit of the founder of Infosys software company affirms Vietnam's position and IT resources in the international arena; affirms FPT's potential and capacity, especially in competitive and leading IT markets such as the US, Europe, India... The event also aims to inspire, share strategies and exchange experiences on innovation, sustainable development, team building and corporate culture.

FPT always considers Infosys an ideal model to learn from and the Infosys programmer training model has been applied by the Group since 2010. FPT first visited Infosys Group in 1999 to learn and gain experience in software outsourcing. Since then, this activity has become an annual activity of FPT and FPT Software's leadership with the desire to continue learning the development strategy and experience of India's number one IT group.

Previously, in July 2014, Infosys Vice President Binod Hampapur Rangadore also visited FPT.

Infosys is India's and the world's leading IT services company, with revenues of over $8 billion and more than 160,400 employees operating in 30 countries.

Born in Karnataka, after completing his secondary schooling, Mr. Narayana Murthy studied engineering at the National Institute of Engineering and graduated in 1967 with a degree in electrical engineering. In 1969, he obtained his master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology.

After that, Mr. Narayana Murthy moved to London (UK), worked for a company called SESA for 3 years. Here, he designed air transport management software at Charles De Gaulle terminal in Paris (France). This is when he decided to return to India to start his own company.

According to Business Today , he rejected lucrative job offers from companies like Telco, Tisco, Air India to join IIM Ahmedabad in 1976 as a chief systems engineer. He started a small IT software consultancy in Pune but failed and joined Patni Computer Systems later. It was then that he met his soul mate Sudha Murty, who invested Rs 10,000 to start his business again.

In 1981, Infosys was founded and his life began to change. He was joined by 6 other software professionals. Infosys grew strongly in the IT industry due to the right direction and hard work of its professionals.

From 1981 to 2002, he served as the CEO of Infosys; playing a pivotal role in transforming Infosys into a global software outsourcing giant. His clear vision and hard work paved the way for Infosys to reach new heights, dominating the Indian IT market.

From 2002 to 2011, Mr. Narayana Murthy was the Chairman of Infosys and after a short break, he started working as an advisor to Infosys.
