In the current situation, in addition to organizing training according to the content and program of the Ministry of National Defense, the unit also focuses on training contents that are close to the practical conditions of the locality such as: Disaster prevention, search and rescue, training for militia to use means and support tools and contents to ensure political security and social order and safety in the area.

According to the Tanh Linh District Military Command, in recent years, the militia force in general and the district militia force in particular have been the core force, together with the police force of communes and towns in the district, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety. At the same time, they advise local Party committees and authorities to complete local military and defense tasks. To effectively carry out assigned tasks, in training, the Tanh Linh District Military Command often organizes training exercises and drills simulating emergency situations, security and order or natural disasters so that militiamen can practice their ability to respond quickly and accurately; strengthen training in real conditions with difficult terrain and situations that can change quickly. This time, in addition to studying politics, the militiamen have learned, studied and practiced first aid techniques and transporting wounded people in commune-level defense combat, grenade throwing techniques, AK submachine gun shooting techniques, camouflage techniques fortifications, battlefields, weapons, etc.
