Latest salary table details for teachers at all levels in 2025

Due to the lack of salary increase in the public sector in 2025, the salary of public sector teachers is still applied at the basic salary level of VND 2,340,000/month.

According to Resolution 159/2024 on the State budget estimate for 2025 approved at the 8th Session, the National Assembly agreed not to increase public sector salaries, pensions, social insurance benefits, monthly allowances, and preferential allowances for people with meritorious services in 2025.

Therefore, in 2025, the basic salary will remain at VND 2,340,000/month, according to Decree 73/2024 of the Government.

Teachers' salaries as civil servants are calculated by the formula: Salary = Basic salary x Salary coefficient.

According to Circular No. 01/2021 of the Ministry of Education and Training, regulations on how to classify preschool teachers' salaries are classified into 3 grades 1, 2, 3 (equivalent to civil servants of type A2, A1, A0).

Regarding the salary classification, primary school teachers are classified into 3 grades: 1, 2, 3 (applying the salary coefficient of civil servants equivalent to type A2 - group A2.1; type A2 - group A2.2 and type A1).

Regarding the salary classification, junior high school teachers are classified into 3 grades: 1, 2, 3 (applying the salary coefficient of civil servants equivalent to type A2 - group A2.1; type A2 - group A2.2 and type A1).

Regarding the salary classification, high school teachers are classified into 3 grades: 1, 2, 3 (applying the salary coefficient of civil servants equivalent to type A2 - group A2.1; type A2 - group A2.2 and type A1).

Accordingly, the highest teacher salary is nearly 16,000,000 VND/month and the lowest salary is 4,900,000 VND/month. This salary does not include other allowances and subsidies.

During the time when the conditions for implementing the 9 new allowances are not met, teachers will continue to implement the current allowances.

Including: preferential allowances according to teachers' profession; special allowances for teachers who are artisans; allowances for teachers of the disabled; allowances for teachers working in areas with especially difficult conditions; seniority allowances.
