The program "Artists and Stage" produced by HTV's Arts Department will be broadcast at 10:20 on the first day of Tet on HTV 9 and rebroadcast at 15:10 on the third day of Tet.

Artists who are very familiar to the audience had a warm reunion at HTV studio including: Artist Chi Tam, Meritorious Artist Chi Linh, Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy, Artist Kim Phung (MaiKa), Artist Nguyen Van Khoi. And a guest singer: Tong Hao Nhien - son of Meritorious Artist Kim Phuong.

First, the artists expressed their special thoughts about their Dragon milestone in 2024.

Artist Chi Tam said that this year he turned 72, so there is nothing that worries him because he has experienced many ups and downs in his artistic career.

"This year, being able to return to my hometown to celebrate Tet and sing for the audience is the happiest thing for an artist. I also appeared in the movie "Sáng đèn" released on the first day of Tet, which was a lucky chance to perform a role about cải lương theater and theater art. I also have more materials to compose traditional songs for my beloved audience" - artist Chí Tâm shared.

The 2024 projects of the artists have been announced by Meritorious Artist Chi Linh: "This Tet, on the evening of February 8 - February 17 at Tran Huu Trang Theater, Chi Linh - Van Ha troupe and Hoang Hai Production stage will perform the play "Kim Ngoc Luong Duyen". This is a traditional opera that gathers many talented young actors. The play by author Nguyet Ha, directed by me, has the participation of artists: Meritorious Artist Phuong Hang, Meritorious Artist Van Ha, Meritorious Artist Thy Trang, Meritorious Artist Chi Linh, artists Hoang Hai, Thanh Toan, Thuy My, Lam Minh Nghiem, Hoai Thanh, Chi Bao, Son Minh, Hoang Chuong... After Tet, Chi Linh - Van Ha Stage will continue to invest in new works to serve the audience" - Meritorious Artist Chi Linh said.

Artist Chi Tam also said he will return to An Giang to celebrate Tet in his hometown. Talking about Tet and his wishes for the spring, he shared his wish to have many new roles, to stand on stage to serve the audience and still have the public love his singing.

Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy said that the open-minded nature of people in the West, whether rich or poor, still prepares to celebrate Tet and every spring. She prepared Tet for her family with delicious dishes from the West, then spent time performing plays for the audience.

Artist Nguyen Van Khoi still remembers the most meaningful Tet holiday for him was the time he performed in the province and when he left the stage, he looked up at the sky with bright red fireworks, he celebrated Tet on the way back to Ho Chi Minh City.

For me, at the age of five, I am not afraid of bad things as long as I am always aware of practicing and maintaining my lifestyle, behavior and career. This year, I have a role that is well received by the audience, that is Tran Minh in the play "Ben Cau Det Lua" which will be performed to serve the audience at Tran Huu Trang Theater on the evening of the 8th day of Tet" - artist Nguyen Van Khoi said.

Artist Kim Phung's childhood was closely linked to the wings when she followed her father - Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long backstage during Tet holidays to watch him perform. "My memories of family Tet are New Year's Eves when my father was never around. Because my father was performing everywhere, he would call home on New Year's Eve to wish everyone a happy new year, and when he got home, everyone was already asleep, and in the morning he would go perform until the end of the first month before seeing him again" - artist Kim Phung said.

This year, she will not perform on stage with her father, but will stand behind the scenes to take care of logistics in the production of the purely Vietnamese musical "The Love Story of Thang Long". "The play will be performed on the evening of the 6th and 7th of Tet at Ben Thanh Theater. This year, I will be able to celebrate Tet with my father" - artist Kim Phung expressed.

To help the younger generation firmly believe in following in his footsteps on stage, as a senior artist, Chi Tam advised the younger generation to constantly strive to be worthy of the public's love for the stage.

Meritorious Artist Chi Linh shared his thoughts on the socialized cai luong stage in 2024. He predicted that the socialized cai luong stage will develop a lot, and the stages will stage many Vietnamese historical works to serve the public.

Artist Chi Tam said he started writing new scripts and new traditional songs at the beginning of the year from materials of life.
