(HNMO) - At around 6:50 p.m. on June 17, the fire alarm went off at the Royal City apartment building in Thuong Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district (Hanoi). Residents living in the apartments followed the instructions of the building's security guards and ran out of their homes, gathering in the main lobby. At this time, there was an image of smoke rising from the basement of the apartment building.
Upon receiving the news, Thanh Xuan District Police (Hanoi) quickly dispatched 3 vehicles with officers and soldiers to the scene. Determining that the fire broke out at a restaurant in the Commercial Center, Basement B2, Building R6 of the apartment building, the task force guided people to move to a safe area and approached to handle the incident. As soon as the authorities arrived, the fire was extinguished.
Currently, Royal City apartment building has issued a notice about the incident to stabilize the situation. Accordingly, the fire incident was determined to have occurred at Pizza Hut store, and has been handled by the local fire department and Thanh Xuan District Police.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
