At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 80.5-81.5 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). Decreased by 500,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 79.8-81.8 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 79.8-81.8 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). Both decreased slightly by 200,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.

For ring gold, the listed price of SJC 9999 gold is 77.9 million VND/tael for buying and 79.2 million VND/tael for selling, unchanged from yesterday morning. DOJI in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City markets kept the same buying and selling prices as yesterday morning at 78.1 million VND/tael and 79.2 million VND/tael. The buying and selling prices of PNJ brand ring gold are listed at 78.1 million VND/tael and 79.2 million VND/tael, an increase of 100,000 VND in buying price.
Bao Tin Minh Chau adjusted the buying price up by VND100,000 to VND78.08 million/tael but kept the selling price unchanged at VND79.18 million/tael. Phu Quy SJC is buying gold rings at VND78.1 million/tael and selling at VND79.2 million/tael, an increase of VND100,000 in the buying price.

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5am today, Vietnam time, was at 2,586.67 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 26.8 USD compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 75.768 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 4.032 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Gold prices rose today after the US Federal Reserve announced a cut in interest rates to 0.5%, a significant reduction from previous predictions.
The Fed also signaled that there will be further rate cuts for the remainder of 2024 and throughout 2025, which would typically support gold's price appreciation.
Continued tensions in the Middle East have also contributed to the rise in gold prices, making it a safer investment channel in times of uncertainty.
While there may be some profit-taking that could dampen gold prices in the short term, the bullish trend in gold is expected to continue in the long term, according to Kelvin Wong, an analyst at OANDA.
Forecasts show that gold prices are likely to continue to increase to 2,700 USD/ounce, equivalent to 80.87 million VND/tael by the end of this year.
