TPO - The forest has many trees that meet the standards to be certified as Vietnam Heritage Trees. However, currently, the forest has only certified 39 trees because it is located near a traffic route, convenient for tourists to visit.
The heritage trees are between 200 and over 450 years old, including 37 ancient cajeput trees, 1 ancient sop tree and 1 ancient tung tree. |
According to Mr. Hoa, the recognition of heritage trees in Sub-zone 21 and Sub-zone 27 of Bu Gia Map National Park has helped many travel agencies have new routes and attractions. |
Heritage trees are promoted and advertised to attract tourists. Tourists from inside and outside the province have come here to explore the wild nature and see with their own eyes the hundreds of years old trees. |
The Director of Bu Gia Map National Park Management Board said that there are many trees in the forest that meet the conditions and standards for the procedures to be granted the certificate of Vietnam heritage trees, but at present, only 39 trees have been recognized. The number of tourists visiting Bu Gia Map National Park is increasing day by day, in 2023 it increased by more than 1,200 compared to 2022. |
In the near future, Bu Gia Map National Park will continue to identify trees that meet the criteria to propose recognition as heritage trees. Thereby, promoting the richness and diversity of forest flora, ancient and rare tree species here, and raising awareness of nature protection among people and tourists when visiting this interesting destination. |
