Honda Vietnam has officially launched its first two electric motorbike models. They are ICON e: and CUV e:, of which ICON e: is officially on sale and CUV is expected to be delivered to customers next July.

Honda Vietnam has just officially entered the domestic electric motorbike market by introducing two electric motorbike models , Honda ICON e and CUV e 2025 - these are the first electric motorbikes mass-produced by the company in the Vietnamese market.

The new product marks Honda's transformation in its strategy to develop sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation, and targets young customers such as pupils and students - those who have a high demand for convenient, economical and trendy means of transportation.

Honda ICON e: in Vietnam is designed with a compact, dynamic style, modern style with square lines and a prominent “ICON e” logo. The vehicle has overall dimensions of 1,796 x 680 x 1,085 mm and weighs only 89 kg - significantly lighter than popular scooter models such as Vision.

The saddle height of the Honda ICON e: 2025 electric motorbike is 742 mm, optimized for the Vietnamese body shape, especially suitable for young or female users. The entire lighting system on the ICON e is LED, with an LCD screen displaying speed, distance and battery status.

The vehicle has a 26-liter storage compartment, enough to hold a 3/4 helmet and personal items. There are two small compartments in the front, of which the left compartment has a convenient USB charging port.

In terms of safety, the new electric motorbike model of Honda Vietnam is equipped with CBS (combined braking) system, which helps distribute braking force evenly to both wheels. In addition, the vehicle also has a multi-function mechanical lock: electric lock, neck lock and magnetic lock.

The vehicle is equipped with an electric motor integrated in the rear wheel, with a capacity of 1.5 kW (equivalent to 2.42 horsepower) and a torque of 85 Nm. The maximum speed reaches 49 km/h - suitable for the needs of moving in the inner city.

ICON e has two operating modes: Standard and ECO, allowing users to flexibly choose between performance and energy saving. The travel distance after each full charge ranges from 50-70 km, enough to meet the daily needs of going to school and work.

Honda ICON e uses a 30.6 Ah lithium-ion battery with IP67 waterproof standard, placed under the floor of the car to lower the center of gravity and increase stability during operation. The battery can be charged directly on the car or removed, with a full charge time from 0% to 100% in about 7-7.5 hours.

Notably, Honda applies a flexible battery rental model, allowing ICON e electric motorbike users to pay via the My Honda+ app at a cost of VND 350,000/month and unlimited mileage, helping to reduce initial investment costs.

The car has three color versions for users to choose from: Sport (gray, blue), Special (gray black, gray red) and Premium (gray white). The price of Honda ICON e: 2025 is 26.9; 27.1 and 27.3 million VND respectively, meeting the diverse tastes of urban youth.

In addition to the ICON e:, the new Honda CUV e: 2025 electric motorbike model was also launched but is only for rent and not yet for commercial sale. The CUV e: is imported completely from Thailand. According to the plan, the CUV e: will be available for rent from July 2025 in limited quantities, with 2 batteries and 2 chargers at 19 HEADs in three major cities, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

The Japanese car company said it chose to rent because it wanted customers to experience the features of the car first. The rental price of the Honda CUV e electric motorbike is 1.5 million per month with 10% VAT and additional incentives when paying in multiple monthly packages. The vehicle is equipped with an electric motor on the rear wheel with a capacity of 8 horsepower at 3,500 rpm, torque of 22 Nm at 2,300 rpm. The vehicle is equipped with two removable lithium-ion batteries located under the saddle, each battery has a capacity of 29.4 Ah and weighs 10.2 kg. Three driving modes, including Econ (economical), Standard (standard), Sport (sport).

CUV e's battery charging time: from 0-100% in 6 hours and 25-75% in 2.7 hours. Operating range of 80.7 km and maximum speed of 83 km/h. Other features include a 17-inch TFT screen, USB type-C connection, Smart Key. According to Honda Vietnam, the entire payment process and battery rental contract signing for both electric motorbike models are done via the My Honda+ application.
