TPO - From 9am to 11:30am on October 3 and 4, some central roads in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City will be closed to traffic.
On September 27, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport announced the adjustment of traffic organization on some routes in Ho Chi Minh City during the City-level Fire and Explosion Situation Handling and Search and Rescue Exercise in 2024 at mPlaza Saigon Building (District 1).
Accordingly, in order to enhance traffic safety and order during the above-mentioned drill, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport announced a traffic ban from 9:00 to 11:30 on October 3 and 4 on the following roads:
Hai Ba Trung Street (from Nguyen Thi Minh Khai to Nguyen Du); Cong Xa Paris Street (from Nguyen Du to Le Duan); Le Van Huu Street (from Le Duan to Nguyen Du); Le Duan Street (from Mac Dinh Chi to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia); Nguyen Van Chiem Street (from Hai Ba Trung to Pham Ngoc Thach).

The alternative traffic route is as follows:
On Hai Ba Trung Street:
+ Direction from Phu Nhuan District to District 1: Hai Ba Trung -> Nguyen Thi Minh Khai -> Mac Dinh Chi -> Nguyen Du -> Hai Ba Trung or Hai Ba Trung -> Vo Van Tan -> Nam Ky Khoi Nghia -> Ly Tu Trong -> Hai Ba Trung.
+ Direction from District 1 to Phu Nhuan District: Hai Ba Trung -> Nguyen Du -> Pasteur -> Nguyen Thi Minh Khai -> Hai Ba Trung or Hai Ba Trung -> Le Thanh Ton -> Pasteur -> Nguyen Thi Minh Khai -> Hai Ba Trung.
- On Le Duan Street:
+ Direction from Mac Dinh Chi street to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street: Mac Dinh Chi -> Nguyen Du -> Nam Ky Khoi Nghia or Mac Dinh Chi -> Vo Van Tan -> Nam Ky Khoi Nghia.
+ Direction from Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street to Ton Duc Thang street/Dinh Tien Hoang street: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia -> Ly Tu Trong -> Ton Duc Thang or Nam Ky Khoi Nghia -> Nguyen Thi Minh Khai -> Dinh Tien Hoang.
- On Cong Xa Paris Street: Nguyen Du -> Pasteur -> Nguyen Thi Minh Khai -> Pham Ngoc Thach.
“Drivers must comply with the commands of traffic controllers and road signs. For vehicles of organizations and individuals in the affected area who need to travel during the ban, please contact the local authorities directly for support,” the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport noted.
