Long An achieved the highest score in the Emulation Cluster of the Southwestern provinces.

On the side of Long An province, there were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial People's Council - Mai Van Nhieu; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa.

In 2024, despite the difficult economic context, with the will of self-reliance and self-improvement, localities in the Emulation Cluster will promote the implementation of assigned tasks.

The average economic growth rate (GRDP) of the provinces in the Cluster reached 7.3%. Of which, Long An was 8.30% (reaching 103.75% of the plan), higher than the average growth rate of the whole country.

The state budget revenue of the provinces in the Cluster exceeded the set plan, with a total revenue of more than VND 114,960 billion. Of which, Long An's state budget revenue was more than VND 26,500 billion, exceeding the central government's estimate by 24%. Notably, Long An was voted in the Top 10 localities attracting large enterprises in 2024 by Vietnam Report Magazine.

The total export turnover of all provinces exceeded the target (reaching 25,724 million USD). Of which, Long An was 7,800 million USD, reaching 104%. The average income per capita of the Cluster reached 79.24 million VND/year. Of which, Long An was 107.30 million VND/year, reaching 102.19%.

Many cultural, artistic, physical training and sports activities were carried out in various forms. The provinces proactively innovated activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate Spring, and welcome political , cultural, social events and major holidays of the country and the province.

Long An alone successfully organized the 2nd Culture - Sports - Tourism Week, with the theme "Aspiration for the Vam River" with a series of 10 unique activities; attracting more than 500,000 visitors, contributing to promoting and introducing the image of Long An land and people to international tourists and friends.

The administrative reform work has been directed with great attention by the provinces in the Emulation Cluster. In Long An, the Administrative Reform Index (PAR INDEX) increased in rank. The Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) of Long An province jumped 8 places compared to the same period last year, ranking 2nd out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

Provinces in the Cluster are interested in developing information technology infrastructure, applying modern, synchronous, safe, secure information technology, ensuring sufficient capacity for deploying e-government architecture, serving the digital transformation process, building e-government, developing digital government and smart cities.

In addition, the provinces launched and organized many different thematic emulation movements suitable to the characteristics of each locality, contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the provinces in the Emulation Cluster.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An province - Nguyen Van Ut delivered the opening speech at the conference.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut stated that the organization of the Emulation Cluster of 12 Southwestern provinces is a condition for sharing experiences in socio-economic development, security and defense of the provinces; selecting and replicating new and effective models in all areas of social life. This is also an opportunity for Long An to learn, exchange and share experiences with other provinces on patriotic emulation movements, emulation and reward work.

Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee - Nguyen Anh Tuan said that 2025 is very important in achieving the 5-year socio-economic development goals for 2020-2025. He suggested that the provinces continue to strongly implement the emulation movements launched by the Central Government; strive to excellently complete the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring security and defense of the provinces according to plan.

Along with that, the provinces need to improve the capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations, continue to streamline the apparatus, reduce staffing associated with restructuring and improving the quality of cadres, civil servants and public employees; improve the effectiveness and efficiency of leadership, direction and administration.

At the conference, delegates listened to the announcement of the 2024 emulation results. Accordingly, Long An province had the highest score.

The provinces in the Emulation Cluster unanimously chose Ben Tre province as the Emulation Cluster Leader in 2025 ; Tra Vinh province was chosen as the first Deputy Cluster Leader and Bac Lieu province was chosen as the second Deputy Cluster Leader./.
