British University Vietnam (BUV) received 5-star QS and QAA certifications thanks to its efforts to improve training quality, facilities and technology application.
These are two prestigious certifications in the world that rigorously assess the quality of university education. Of which, BUV received the QS 5-star certification in 2022. The system evaluates higher education institutions through 8 standard groups, more than 50 criteria and predetermined international standards. From there, the organization scores the prestige of a university based on teaching, facilities, social responsibility, research and international diversity. BUV achieved a comprehensive 5-star standard in the following criteria: Teaching quality, Employment opportunities, Academic development, Facilities, Social activities, Equality - Inclusion.

Earlier this year, BUV continued to receive QAA accreditation from the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. To achieve QAA accreditation, universities must undergo a rigorous International Quality Review (IQR) process based on a list of 10 categories and international quality assurance standards from the UK.
BUV is the first and only university in Vietnam, and one of 22 institutions outside the UK, to receive this accreditation. The university achieved excellent results in 10 accreditation categories and was recognized for its outstanding academic activities in three areas: Employer and social connections, Student support in work and internships, and Personal development.
The school representative affirmed that to achieve these achievements, BUV has a steadfast journey with the goal of training a generation of excellent bachelors who are respected by society, have good character, are kind, caring, and at the same time, are proficient in interdisciplinary working skills, creative thinking and a spirit of learning.
The school improves the quality of teaching through investment in facilities and application of technology in training. BUV builds the Personal and Social Skills Development Program (PSG) to encourage students to accumulate experience and skills through activities in four areas: Work and career preparation; Leadership and connection skills; Social, cultural, and emotional skills; Supporting and enhancing learning capacity.
