On August 22, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) in coordination with the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held a press conference to announce and launch the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" Award in 2024.
Speaking at the press conference launching the Award, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized that the Award is an important and specific activity of the Ministry of Information and Communications to support trade and investment promotion, promote domestic consumption, and boost exports for new products, services, solutions and business models.

The award also contributes to bringing digital application innovations of digital technology enterprises to promote labor productivity growth in economic sectors and fields participating in the country's industrialization and modernization.
Over the past 5 years, the Award has attracted many entries. Many award-winning products from businesses have been applied in practice, contributing significantly to the national digital transformation, promoting the digital transformation process of industries and fields more quickly and effectively.
The award has also created ripple effects, further promoting the development of Vietnam's information technology and digital technology industry, promoting the policy and strategy of Make in Vietnam - Creation, design and production in Vietnam.

According to Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong, this year, the Award will honor outstanding digital technology products, bringing pride to Vietnamese intelligence, products that are truly applicable and applicable to life. These are products that contribute to creating new momentum for economic growth, creating national competitive advantages and increasing labor productivity, creating practical and comprehensive results, bringing value to people and businesses in digital transformation, developing the digital economy for industries and fields.
"The Ministry of Information and Communications will coordinate with VCCI to select and award Gold, Silver, Bronze and Top 10 Awards to the best digital technology products. The Ministry is committed to working with award-winning businesses to bring digital technology products to a wider market and further," Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized.
Regarding the new points in this year's Award, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry (Ministry of Information and Communications) said that the 2024 Award has 08 Categories, of which 05 Categories are for CNS products serving digital transformation and digital economic development in industries and fields (replacing 03 Categories in 2023, which are Digital Government, Digital Economy and Digital Society).

The five new categories will basically cover all economic sectors of Vietnam, demonstrating digital application innovations and digital transformation for sectors and fields, promoting labor productivity improvement.
In particular, the category of Outstanding New CNS Products was added to search for and honor outstanding new CNS products such as: AI, Bigdata, IoT, Semiconductors.
In addition, continue to maintain 02 Categories as in 2023: Excellent CNS products for foreign markets and Potential CNS products.
Regarding the subjects participating in the 2024 Award, it remains the same as in 2023, except for the following changes: For the Potential CNS Product Category: Only applicable to micro, small enterprises or innovative startups established under Vietnamese law (if it is a foreign-invested enterprise, Vietnamese people must own at least 51% of the total shares).
For the category of Excellent CNS Products for foreign markets: in addition to domestic enterprises with Vietnamese people holding controlling shares, the category also includes enterprises established abroad but with Vietnamese people owning at least 51% of total shares.
The time for receiving registration and documents to participate in the Award is from August 22, 2024 to October 22, 2024. The award ceremony will be held within the framework of the National Forum on Developing Vietnamese Digital Technology Enterprises in December 2024.
