(CLO) On March 25, Tien Phong Newspaper held the "Ben Passion" Award Ceremony. It is known that the award received 30 nominations. At this award ceremony, in addition to awarding outstanding individuals, the "Ben Passion" Award also pays special attention to science and technology projects, social activities, startups, etc.
At the ceremony, journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Director of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund said: The award received 17 project/individual nominations in the fields of social activities, culture-arts, business-startup, physical education-sports and 13 nominations for science-technology projects from the group of scientists who won the "Golden Globe" Award.

From here, the Selection Council met, analyzed the records, compared the achievements of the nominees and unanimously chose to award the "Enduring Passion" Award to 6 individuals:
One is Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tam (social activities), founder of "Ngoc Tam Thuy Tinh Class", who has supported many disadvantaged, disabled and orphaned children for the past 21 years. Her class without blackboards and chalks has received a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Central Youth Union. She was also honored as "Promising Young Vietnamese Face" in 2022.
Second, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha (Ha Myo, culture and arts), a young singer passionate about preserving and promoting the art of Xam singing, has brought traditional melodies closer to the audience, especially young audiences. She was honored as "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face" in 2022.
Third, Vo Minh Quang (culture and arts), a "piano prodigy" who has quickly affirmed his talent through a series of international and domestic music awards. He has performed with many major orchestras in Vietnam, China, the US, Malaysia, etc., and was honored as "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face" in 2020.
Fourth, Nguyen Thi Oanh (sports and physical education), the “golden girl” of Vietnamese athletics, has won numerous medals at the SEA Games and international competitions. Despite facing injuries many times, she has still persevered, demonstrating the spirit of “persevering passion” when pursuing the running track.
Fifth, Nguyen Anh Minh (sports and gymnastics), is currently the highest-ranked golfer in Vietnam on the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), ranked 53rd globally and 5th in Asia. He also brought home a historic medal for Vietnamese golf at the 32nd SEA Games, won the Tien Phong Golf Championship twice (2021, 2022), and won the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final (2023), Bonallack Trophy (2023), National Champion (2022)...
Sixth, Nguyen My Linh (business-startup field), known for her business project in Dien Bien province, made an important contribution to the development of the ancient Shan Tuyet tea specialty. From the initial difficulties, she started her business steadfastly, built a sustainable brand, and helped promote local tea products to domestic and foreign markets.
In addition, at the ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored 5 authors of science and technology projects belonging to the group of scientists who won the "Golden Globe" Award, including:
Dr. Nguyen Van Son, lecturer at the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is the project leader for "Expanding AI Accessibility through Data-Centric Techniques and AI Solution Development Platforms".
Dr. Luong Van Thien, lecturer at the School of Technology, National Economics University, is leading the “ClinLM” project, which applies large language models (LLM) to support doctors in deciding on treatment for cardiovascular and thyroid diseases.
Dr. Pham Huy Hieu, lecturer at VinUni University, expert at VinUni-Illinois Smart Health Research Center, developer of the project "AI system to predict stroke risk and control personalized blood pressure" in collaboration with the Vietnam Heart Institute (Bach Mai Hospital).
Dr. Ngo Ngoc Hai, researcher at the Institute of Genome Research (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), chaired the project "Assessing the impact of climate change on the ecosystem and genetic diversity of rare reptile species in coastal and island areas in the North", focusing on surveying species composition, genetic relationships, assessing the current status of populations and proposing conservation solutions in the face of climate change challenges.
Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang, researcher at the Center for Nanostructured and Molecular Materials Research (Ho Chi Minh City National University), is known for his project "Converting PET waste plastic into MOFs materials as positive electrodes in water electrolysis technology to produce green hydrogen fuel".
