BIDV cooperates to promote digital transformation and cybersecurity for women-owned businesses

The program “Digital luggage for female-owned businesses and launching of the Cybersecurity Handbook for female leaders” helps improve the capacity to use and exploit information and digital data safely in cyberspace for female-owned businesses, Associations, Clubs, and Women Entrepreneurs; At the same time, it supports promoting digital transformation in female-owned/led businesses.

The program was organized by the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) in coordination with the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council (under the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry - VCCI), and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) on June 15, 2023 in Hanoi.

The program was attended by representatives of the following units: Department of Enterprise Development (Ministry of Planning and Investment), several Embassies in Vietnam, German International Cooperation Organization, The Asia Foundation in Vietnam, VCCI, units supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) owned by women, and women-owned enterprises in Hanoi and neighboring provinces.

Within the framework of the program, speakers shared about opportunities and challenges for female-owned enterprises in the digital age; information security and network security issues for business operations in general and female-owned enterprises in particular; solutions to support female-owned enterprises to improve digital transformation capacity, ensure information security and network security in the current context...

Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy Director of BIDV Corporate Customer Department, said: “Over the years, BIDV has continuously provided comprehensive solutions for SMEs; bringing the best benefits and values ​​to customers; and at the same time creating a difference in the market. For SMEs owned by women, BIDV is always proactive and strives to work with foreign sponsors to support customers effectively and comprehensively in both financial and non-financial aspects.”

Recently, BIDV has made continuous efforts to launch the first SMEasy Digital Platform (https://smeasy.bidv.com.vn) in Vietnam exclusively for SMEs, applied on Website and Mobile App platforms.

SMEasy is designed according to the "One-Stop Shop - One destination, multiple utilities" model, possessing outstanding features, friendly interface, optimized for each user, helping SMEs access banking products and services in the most effective way. The program also supports SMEs in accessing digital transformation solutions; connecting and expanding business activities; supporting business management tools and manuals, communicating products and services of enterprises; especially online training courses on SME Academy.

In addition, BIDV also deployed many digital transformation solutions, conducted seminars to improve financial access, organized a series of capacity building programs for SMEs, etc.

Supporting SMEs, including women-owned SMEs, is a priority of the Government and requires the cooperation of ministries, organizations and commercial banks. With the motto of “firmly pioneering and accompanying development”, BIDV is determined to always be a reliable and sustainable companion of customers.
