TPO - Surveying the actual location of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project, Binh Duong Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi requested relevant units and localities to speed up compensation for recovered land and arrange resettlement areas for people in new locations that are equal to or better than the old locations.
On March 5, Tien Phong newspaper reporter noted that the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project had started construction in early February, but currently there is no price for compensation for recovered land and no resettlement area has been arranged.
According to the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Binh Duong province, to implement the component project 1 of site clearance for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway section through this locality, the land area to be recovered is 322 hectares; 1,411 individuals and organizations are affected, of which, there are about 194 resettlement cases.
Currently, localities are preparing land recovery dossiers, have selected land price consultants, are conducting surveys, and are expected to approve land prices in March and April 2025. They are coordinating with Phuoc Hoa Rubber Company to recover land according to the project's recovery scope of about more than 81 hectares.
According to information from the representative of Phu Giao District People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project passing through this locality is about 22.5 km long, of which 10 km passes through the rubber forest land of Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Company and 2.5 km of land of other individuals and organizations.
The total land area to be reclaimed to hand over the site to the contractor for construction is about 224.5 hectares. Up to now, Phu Giao district has reclaimed the first phase of Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Company about 34 hectares with a length of about 4 km, leaving about 6 km of land for rubber plantation.
After a field survey at the location of this expressway project on March 4, Binh Duong Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi requested the People's Committees of Phu Giao, Bac Tan Uyen, Bau Bang districts and Tan Uyen City, where the project passes through, to speed up the progress and complete the approval of land compensation prices. He requested that by March 15, relevant units and localities must submit the price list for the entire route, along with speeding up the preparation of land recovery documents and handing over the construction site.
In addition to requesting units and localities to calculate land prices close to reality, in the direction of harmonizing interests, Mr. Loi also noted that it is necessary to meet the needs of new housing for people who must be relocated in the spirit of having it be equal to or better than their old place of residence.
The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway is nearly 70km long, of which the section through Binh Duong is 52.1km long; through Binh Phuoc is 7.1km long. In addition, there is a section connecting from Ring Road 2 to Ring Road 3, about 7km long, including 4km invested by Binh Duong province with an 8-lane urban road scale and 3km in Ho Chi Minh City's territory that has not been invested.
The entire expressway has 21 bridges on the expressway, 5 direct overpasses, 14 underpasses and 4 interconnecting intersections, including: Khanh Van Intersection; DT.741 Intersection; Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City Intersection and Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang dynamic road.
