On the morning of March 23, Ho Chi Minh City traffic police were patrolling and discovered a woman riding an electric suitcase on Le Duan Street, Ben Nghe Ward, so they stopped to check. This person said she was riding a motorized suitcase around town and did not know she had violated traffic laws.

Traffic police wrote a ticket and fined the woman 225,000 VND for using a scooter on the road, according to Decree 168. According to the police, using a suitcase with an integrated motor and battery on the road is a traffic violation because this vehicle is small in design, has no warning lights, and is prone to accidents when driving on the road.

Previously, a Chinese man drove an electric suitcase on the Nguyen Hue - Le Thanh Ton intersection in District 1, in the middle of a crowded traffic. This person had left the country on March 21, so the authorities have not been able to handle the case.
