At the end of 2024, Vinh Phuc Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital welcomed the first baby born entirely through IVF at the hospital. The hospital successfully treated both mother Pham Ngoc Lan, in Ho Son commune, Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc, and her baby with umbilical vein occlusion. This is a very rare disease in the world as well as in the country, and can cause stillbirth if not treated promptly. In this case, the fetus was 28 weeks old, and the hospital successfully performed a cesarean section on September 5, 2024.

Recently, the hospital successfully treated patient Chu Phuong Thao, 5 years old, in Yen Duong commune, Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc, suffering from severe acute respiratory distress syndrome ARDS. The hospital also successfully treated a case of extremely premature birth. The baby was born prematurely at 28 weeks at home in Xuan Hoa commune, Lap Thach district, Vinh Phuc, weighing only 1.2 kg, suffering from respiratory failure, blood clotting disorder, and sepsis and was brought to the hospital for emergency care. After 55 days of intensive treatment, the baby recovered, weighed 2.2 kg and was discharged in a healthy condition.
