The launching ceremony of the essay "Living like flowers" took place in an intimate atmosphere. The articles in this essay book are not only happy and sad memories with patients, but also memories of close colleague relationships and many valuable professional emotions that have contributed to the training of the mettle and professionalism of nurses at University Medical Center, Ho Chi Minh City.
Prof. Dr. Truong Quang Binh delivered the opening speech at the launching ceremony of the essay "Living like flowers"
The essay includes 37 emotional articles with cover designs and book pages inspired by the paintings of Xeo Chu - a talented young artist. Although only 16 years old, Xeo Chu has been painting for more than 10 years, with hundreds of works exhibited in Vietnam and abroad. Besides his outstanding talent, Xeo Chu also often participates in charity activities with his mother. Previously, during the tense epidemic period in 2021, Xeo Chu auctioned paintings and donated the money to the epidemic prevention work of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City. Xeo Chu also sent 8 canvas paintings that he had auctioned as a spiritual gift to the doctors and nurses of the hospital. At the time the hospital wrote the essay "Living like flowers", the flowers from Xeo Chu's paintings were inspired for the cover design and each page of the book.
The book launch also included meaningful stories and interactions with the authors.
The essay launching ceremony took place intimately in the lobby on the 3rd floor of area A.
At the ceremony, Xeo Chu said he was impressed with the work of the nurses. Their dedication, devotion and dedication are like flowers - always silently blooming and spreading fragrance. "I am very happy that the paintings I drew contribute to this essay and inspire, help people understand more about the dedication and devotion of the nurses in taking care of the sick," Xeo Chu shared.
The essay book also has the contribution of writer Kim Hoa - who just received the 2022 Impressive Female Writer Award from the Vietnam Writers Association in editing the writing to make it more beautiful.
At the essay launch, Prof. Dr. Truong Quang Binh, Expert of University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his thanks to the editorial team, authors, and departments of the hospital for their contributions to the creation of this essay book. The articles in the essay book recalled fond memories and inspired UMC members to continue writing meaningful career stories, adding beautiful strokes to the UMC flower garden with colors full of enthusiasm and love for the career of healing and saving people.
