On the morning of September 25, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Le Cong Thong - Principal of Nguyen Du Secondary School, Tam Ky city, Quang Nam - said that on the afternoon of September 24, a parent stormed into the school to beat two 8th grade students.

According to information provided by Mr. Thong, early in the morning of September 24, 2 students from class 8/9 and 1 student from class 8/11 had a conflict and fought while playing. As a result, the student from class 8/11 had a swollen eyelid.

Then, the 8/11th grade student borrowed the school security guard's phone to call the parents. After taking the child to the hospital for a check-up, the parent returned to school during the first period of the same afternoon, then went to the 8/9th grade class and beat 2 students.

The incident was stopped by a teacher's security guard, who left after beating the two students.

According to Mr. Thong, as a result of the meeting, the parent who beat the two 8th/9th grade students also admitted his mistake.

"The school clearly states that it is not appropriate for parents to enter the classroom and beat students. Everything must be reported to the school," said Mr. Thong.

The principal of Nguyen Du Secondary School said that the school's viewpoint is to deter and educate students not to repeat similar incidents, including parents. The school has also reported to the Department of Education and Training of Tam Ky City and the ward police.

The school leaders also affirmed that the incident must be handled according to the school's and the education sector's regulations. The school also does not want the incident to affect the students' psychology.

Mr. Thong said that after working with parents and students, the school will inform the specific results of the meeting on the afternoon of September 25.
