After performing the necessary paraclinical tests, the doctors performed surgery to remove the soft tissue wound, create a stump, and treat the broken bone. After more than a week of treatment, the wounds recovered well and the patient was able to be discharged from the hospital. However, the damage to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd phalanges of the missing hand will affect the child's life and activities in the future.

According to the family, on the day of the incident, everyone heard a loud explosion in the back of the house. When they went down to check, they found many injuries on P’s hands and feet. There were several burnt matches left in the area where the child was sitting.

The family added that recently, P often watched some videos on how to make homemade firecrackers online, then followed suit, leading to the unfortunate consequence above.
