(NLDO) – Gold prices today fluctuated unpredictably after the US announced worse-than-expected employment data, and the USD has not stopped its downward trend.
The world gold price today closed the weekend trading session at 2,910 USD/ounce.
Last night, the world gold price jumped to 2,930 USD/ounce but then suddenly dropped. By early March 8, the gold price closed the weekend at 2,910 USD/ounce.
Gold prices today jumped at times in the context of the US Department of Labor announcing that in February 2025, only 151,000 new jobs were created, lower than the forecast of 170,000 jobs.
In response to this news, financial investors have dumped USD, causing the currency to fall to its lowest level in the past 4 months. Gold prices today have the conditions to heat up.
However, when gold reached $2,930/ounce, short-term investors sold to make a profit. The world gold price was forced to fall and by early March 8, it closed the weekend trading session at $2,910/ounce.
In Vietnam, at the end of March 7, the selling price of SJC gold was 93.1 million VND/tael. The price of gold rings was 93 million VND/tael.
