At the festival, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Le, a Literature teacher at Nam Ky Khoi Nghia High School (District 11) unexpectedly became the center of attention. Her "sweet as sugar cane" singing voice led many visitors to the school's food stall.
"This year, my school is selling banh tam bi and xoi du rien. As a Westerner, I know a little bit about singing, so I immediately thought of composing some folk songs to both attract customers and help students understand what Southern folk songs are like," Ms. Le excitedly said.
In addition, the school also has a separate area for students and visitors to experience folding grasshoppers and locusts by hand from coconut leaves.
