Education sector is interested, great expectations

The issue of education and training is a top national policy, the role of strategic breakthrough is increasingly recognized by leaders and needs to be more specific and effective when implemented.


On November 19, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) held a rally to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20. On behalf of the leaders of the MOET and in his personal capacity, Minister Nguyen Kim Son sent his congratulations, sincere thanks, and special recognition to the officials, civil servants, and public employees of the MOET.

Affirming the position of teachers

According to the Minister of Education and Training, the education sector is receiving attention, being assigned tasks, and having great expectations. This can be clearly seen in Conclusion No. 91-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW on fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training, in the Government and the National Assembly agreeing to submit the Law on Teachers... The head of the education sector emphasized that during the group discussion at the National Assembly on the Law on Teachers on November 9, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that teachers are the driving force in the activities of the education sector, affirming the important position of teachers. During the meeting with representatives of teachers and education managers on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, on the morning of November 18, the General Secretary continued to emphasize the important role of teachers and assigned a number of tasks to the sector.

The Prime Minister's statements in many forums, most recently at the meeting to encourage 60 outstanding teachers on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day, the Prime Minister also affirmed the important role of teachers, recognized and praised the tireless contributions of teachers and the entire education sector. "Never before have the teaching force received such attention from the Party, the State and leaders as now" - Minister Nguyen Kim Son emphasized. He said that those in the sector need to understand and fully see their important role. If that task is completed, the position of the sector, of teachers, and of the Ministry of Education and Training will be continuously affirmed.

At the ceremony, the Ministry of Education and Training also announced the awarding of State and ministerial level awards to individuals.

Great contribution to education

On the same afternoon, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and congratulated VinUni University.

In addition to the orientation of international integration, the Head of the Central Propaganda Department also noted that the school should preserve, promote and spread advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity. VinUni needs to focus strongly on research and training of highly qualified and high-quality human resources in the fields of engineering and technology. The school needs to research and open more training majors in engineering and technology, especially emerging fields associated with the fourth industrial revolution such as big data, cloud computing, internet of things, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, etc. Strongly promote scientific research and technology development, focusing on research and development of products with Vietnamese brands and VinUni brands.

Also on November 19, a delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, visited outstanding teachers and their families.

Visiting Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tan Phat - former Deputy Minister of Education and Training, former Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University, Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai and other members of the delegation expressed their respect and gratitude for Prof. Nguyen Tan Phat's contributions to the education of the city and the country. Talking to the delegation, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tan Phat expressed his hope that the city's education sector will continue to develop more strongly to train truly excellent future generations. He also said that despite his old age, he is still dedicated and will continue to contribute his own experience to the education and training career.

Visiting People's Teacher, Associate Professor, Dr. Ly Hoa, Hero of Labor, former Principal of the University of General Sciences, Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai expressed his deep gratitude for Associate Professor, Dr. Ly Hoa's contributions to the education sector, especially his contributions to paving the way for educational innovation.

Visiting the family of People's Teacher, Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Van Hoang, former Principal of the University of Technology (VNU-HCM), Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai respectfully acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of Teacher Huynh Van Hoang to the cause of education, contributing to the construction of the city and the country...

Ho Chi Minh City: Many bright spots in education and training

On the afternoon of November 19, representatives of the Party Committee - Editorial Board of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper visited and congratulated the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day. On behalf of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, sincerely thanked Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper for its affection for the Department of Education and Training in particular and the team of teachers in the education and training sector of Ho Chi Minh City in general. According to Mr. Hieu, in recent times, Ho Chi Minh City has had many bright spots in education and training, such as smart school models, digital schools, happy schools, etc.

On the same day, the delegation also visited and congratulated the University of Finance and Marketing and the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology (HCMC campus) on Vietnamese Teachers' Day. On behalf of the Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Cao Cuong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Lao Dong Newspaper, sent his congratulations to all teachers currently working and emphasized that November 20 is an occasion for the whole society to honor teachers.
