Arrested suspect of stealing more than 2 billion VND from girlfriend

On March 23, Thu Duc City Police detained Huynh Ngoc Tan (33 years old, residing in Vinh Long) to investigate the act of property theft. The victim in the case was Ms. X. (31 years old, Tan's girlfriend), who had many properties stolen with a total value of more than 2 billion VND .

Initially, Tan confessed to having a relationship with Ms. X. After a period of dating, Tan moved to an apartment in Thao Dien Ward to live with Ms. X. During their time together, Tan saw that his girlfriend had many valuable assets, so he became greedy.

On March 21, Tan stole his girlfriend's watch, a lot of foreign currency, foreign wine, etc., and then fled to Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Discovering the loss of her property, Ms. X. went to Thao Dien Ward Police to report the incident.

Upon receiving the report, Thu Duc City Police began investigating, searching for and arresting Tan while he was hiding in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. On March 23, Thu Duc City police brought Tan to the scene for reenactment .

The police are currently investigating the incident.
