On the afternoon of October 26, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued a telegram requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts to closely monitor the developments of storm No. 6 (storm Tra Mi) and floods. At the same time, it requested the evacuation of people from low-lying areas before 10:00 p.m. today, October 26.
According to forecasts, storm No. 6 is likely to move closer to Da Nang. The storm's center will approach the shore around 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. tomorrow (October 27). Due to the storm's influence, from 7:00 a.m. tomorrow, coastal land will have strong winds of level 6 or higher.
Accordingly, on the afternoon of October 26, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued a telegram requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts to closely monitor the developments of storm No. 6 (storm Tra Mi) and floods. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested localities to deploy plans to evacuate people living in rented houses, temporary houses, non-permanent houses, and areas at risk of landslides and flooding due to the storm to safe places, to be completed before 10:00 p.m. on October 26. At the same time, people, except for those on duty, are required to limit leaving their homes starting from 10:00 a.m. on October 27.

The Da Nang Border Guard Command presided over and coordinated with relevant units to propagate and mobilize crew members to leave their boats and take shelter ashore before 10:00 a.m. on October 27. The Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and Environment worked with mineral exploitation enterprises to develop safety plans and temporarily suspend mineral exploitation starting from 5:00 p.m. on October 26.
The Department of Construction is taking the lead in requesting all construction contractors to stop construction, urgently lower tower cranes, cranes and high-altitude construction equipment, and ensure safety in the area before 5:00 p.m. on October 26.
According to forecasts, storm No. 6 is likely to move close to Da Nang mainland, then move back out to sea. The time the storm center is close to shore is around 4pm-12am on October 27.

Due to the influence of the storm, on the mainland coastal city, there will be winds of level 6 or higher starting tomorrow morning, October 27 (around 7am). From October 28, the winds are likely to gradually decrease. According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this afternoon, October 26, the intensity of storm Tra Mi (storm No. 6) increased by 1 level, to level 11-12 (103 - 133km/h), gusting to level 15 (167 - 183km/h) and is heading straight towards the coast of Quang Binh to Quang Ngai provinces.
Forecast for the next 24 hours, storm No. 6 will maintain its moving direction and move straight into the sea off the coast of the Central Central provinces (from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai), with the intensity likely to decrease to level 10-11 (89 - 117km/h), gusting to level 14 (150 - 166km/h).
In response to the complicated developments of storm No. 6, the People's Committee of Son Tra District has just issued Official Dispatch No. 4281/UBND-QLDTh dated October 26, 2024 on prohibiting vehicles from circulating on the Son Tra Peninsula. Accordingly, in order to focus on responding to storm No. 6 (TRAMI) in 2024 and the risk of landslides on the Son Tra Peninsula, the Chairman of the People's Committee assigned the Chief of the Son Tra District Police to preside over the implementation of blockades in flooded areas, deep flooding, fast-flowing water, areas at risk of landslides... not allowing people to enter dangerous areas.
Coordinate with the District Military Command, Tho Quang Ward People's Committee, Son Tra Peninsula Management Board and Da Nang tourist beaches and related functional forces to organize road closures, prohibit people and vehicles from circulating on Son Tra Peninsula (except official vehicles).
Traffic suspension time is from 5:00 p.m. on October 26, 2024 until further notice. The checkpoint location is at Hoang Sa Street (the intersection of Le Van Luong - Hoang Sa Street to Son Tra Mountain); the road to Son Tra - Ngu Hanh Son Inter-District Forest Protection Department (the intersection of Yet Kieu Street - the road to Son Tra - Ngu Hanh Son Inter-District Forest Protection Department to Son Tra Mountain); military concrete road (the road to Company 4).
For accommodation establishments (Intercontinental, Son Tra Resort, ...), if there is a need for circulation, please register the specific vehicle number, number of people along with a commitment to ensure safety for people and vehicles when circulating and send it to Son Tra District Police.
