The Secretariat disciplined and expelled from the Party two former Vice Chairmen of the province.

(Dan Tri) - Former Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Province Le O Pich and former Vice Chairman of Lang Son Province Ly Vinh Quang have just been expelled from the Party by the Secretariat due to violations that caused very serious consequences.

On January 10, the Politburo and Secretariat met at the Party Central Committee headquarters to review and discipline party members with violations and shortcomings.

After considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Commission, the Politburo and the Secretariat determined that Mr. Le O Pich, during his tenure as a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, member of the Party Executive Committee, and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, had degraded in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

The former Vice Chairman of Bac Giang province was also determined to have violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.

According to the Politburo and Secretariat, these violations caused very serious consequences, outraged public opinion, and negatively affected the reputation of the Party organization and local government.

Regarding Mr. Ly Vinh Quang, the Politburo and the Secretariat concluded that during his tenure as a member of the Provincial Party Committee, member of the Party Executive Committee, and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, he had degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks.

Mr. Quang also violated regulations on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.

The violations of this former provincial leader have caused very serious consequences, public outrage, and negatively affected the reputation of the Party organization and local government.

Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of violations by the above-mentioned Party members, according to the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Secretariat decided to expel from the Party Mr. Le O Pich and Mr. Ly Vinh Quang.

The Secretariat also requested that competent authorities promptly enforce administrative discipline in line with party discipline.
