Bac Lieu benefits from the movie "Cong Tu Bac Lieu"

When the movie Cong Tu Bac Lieu was released, the hometown of Da Co Hoai Lang became known to many people, opening up a golden opportunity for local tourism.

On December 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Lieu province organized a workshop on “Enhancing the value chain in developing rural tourism in Bac Lieu province”. Although the workshop focused on rural tourism, most of the presentations were about Cong Tu Bac Lieu and Da Co Hoai Lang.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Si - representative of a travel company from Hanoi - said that Cong Tu Bac Lieu and the song Da Co Hoai Lang by the late musician Cao Van Lau are two tourist specialties associated with the Bac Lieu tourism brand, which cannot be found anywhere else.

The filmmaker of “The Young Master of Bac Lieu” introduced the Young Master of Bac Lieu in particular and Bac Lieu province in general through the film. Therefore, Bac Lieu tourism benefited greatly after the film was widely released.

In the future, Bac Lieu will be an attractive destination for tourists because of the Bac Lieu Prince's House and the Bac Lieu Prince Hotel, which is about to be completed with 4-star standards.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang said that Bac Lieu identified tourism as one of the five pillars of development of the province. Tourism has made many strides in development in recent years.

However, rural tourism in Bac Lieu is still limited such as: the majority of farmers do not concentrate on production, traffic infrastructure, technical facilities, climate change, resources, and people's knowledge are still limited.

According to the Vice Chairman of Bac Lieu, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and localities need to research the development of rural tourism and community tourism; select good and effective models to develop rural tourism.

In 2024, Bac Lieu tourism will have a fairly high growth rate in terms of visitors and revenue. Statistics from restaurants, hotels, travel agencies, tourist attractions, and service establishments in the province show that they will welcome about 5.1 million visitors, with total revenue of over 4,200 billion VND.

Bac Lieu widely and effectively promotes at exhibition events inside and outside the province; participates in national and regional fairs.

In 2025, Bac Lieu province will launch many new tourism products, maximizing the exploitation of recognized typical tourist destinations.
