On the morning of February 1, speaking with Nguoi Dua Tin, Mr. Dao Nguyen Linh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Co Am Commune, Vinh Bao District, Hai Phong City, confirmed that the fire that broke out in Hamlet 2, Co Am Commune in the early morning of the same day took the lives of 3 mothers and children.
Previously, Ms. X. and her husband from Thai Binh province rented a house in Hamlet 2, Co Am Commune to sell nutritious porridge. On the night of January 31, early morning of February 1, when the fire broke out, Ms. X.'s husband was not home while working. In the house, there were only Ms. X. and her four children. When the fire broke out, Ms. X.'s eldest child ran out. Ms. X. and her two younger children died in the fire.

According to Nguoi Dua Tin 's source, at 3:05 a.m. on February 1, Center 114 of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Hai Phong City Police) received a report of a house fire in Hamlet 2 (opposite Cay Xanh Temple) in Co Am Commune, Vinh Bao District.
Immediately after receiving the news, Center 114 asked for instructions from superiors and notified the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Vinh Bao District Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Tien Lang District Police (both from Hai Phong City) to send forces and fire trucks to the scene to organize fire fighting and rescue. The fire was then extinguished.
Hai Phong City authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
According to information from the People's Committee of Vinh Bao district, the locality initially supported the families of victims in the fire in hamlet 2, Co Am commune with 10 million VND for each death (total of 30 million VND) .
