Young man dies in house that exploded and then caught fire

(NLDO)- Neighbors suddenly heard a loud explosion followed by a fire breaking out from Mr. C's house.

On December 3, the leader of the People's Committee of Vinh Quang commune, Vinh Bao district ( Hai Phong city) said that the authorities are urgently investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire and explosion at a resident's house, which resulted in one death.

According to initial information, at around 0:43 a.m. on December 2, residents of Hu Tri village, Vinh Quang commune heard a loud explosion followed by a fire breaking out from the house of Mr. NTC (26 years old), so they informed the local authorities.

Upon receiving the news, Vinh Quang commune leaders quickly arrived at the scene, along with the police force, mobilizing all fire extinguishers and tap water from neighboring houses. About 15 minutes later, the fire was extinguished. However, the victim, Mr. NTC, had died.

Immediately afterwards, the authorities and functional agencies of Vinh Bao district were present at the scene, protecting, examining the scene, performing an autopsy, and investigating the cause of the fire.

The leader of Vinh Quang Commune People's Committee said that Mr. NTC is a discharged soldier and currently lives alone at home. Mr. C's parents do business and live in Vinh Bao town.

Through initial investigation of the scene, authorities determined that the fire originated in a bedroom of about 10 square meters. There was a fire extinguisher in the victim’s house but there were no signs of it being used. In the kitchen, the gas cylinders were still intact.

Currently, the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
