Polish President Andrzej Duda said on August 25 that his country has spent about 100 billion zlotys ($26 billion), equivalent to 3.3 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP), on lethal and non-lethal aid to Ukraine since the conflict broke out.

Speaking to YouTube Zero, Polish President Andrzej Duda shared: “We have indeed provided Ukraine with a lot of equipment within our capabilities. The bulk of the aid to Ukraine, both military and humanitarian, is about 3.3% of GDP, worth about 100 billion zlotys, of which 12 billion is military aid.”
According to Mr. Duda, Poland has provided Ukraine with nearly 400 tanks, hundreds of armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, self-propelled artillery, rocket launchers, 10 MiG-29 aircraft and 10 helicopters.
Earlier, on August 24, President Duda pledged to continue military support for Ukraine after arriving in Kiev on an unannounced visit.
Poland has repeatedly stated that it has provided more military aid to Ukraine than any other country since February 2022.
Russia has repeatedly warned Western countries not to supply weapons to Kiev, saying this policy would further escalate the conflict.
On July 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk signed a bilateral security agreement within the framework of the Ukrainian leader's visit to Warsaw.
Poland has been one of Ukraine's leading supporters in its ongoing conflict with Russia, sparing no expense in providing military aid to Kiev and urging other Western nations to follow suit.
However, in recent months, Polish-Ukrainian relations have appeared to have cooled, largely due to Poland's internal economic troubles as well as ongoing protests by local farmers, who have been hurt by the influx of cheap agricultural products from Ukraine.
