On June 11, the spokesman for Poland's Minister for Coordination of Special Services, Stanislaw Zaryn, affirmed that the country was not involved in the explosions at the two Nord Stream gas pipelines from Russia to Europe.
“Poland had nothing to do with the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 explosions,” Mr. Zaryn wrote on his personal Twitter page. “The accusations of Poland’s involvement in these events are unfounded.” According to Mr. Zaryn, various theories have been discussed for months on this issue. This appears to be a disinformation tactic aimed at distorting the “true picture of events.”

On June 10, the US Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that German investigators are analyzing evidence that Poland may have been used as an operating base to organize explosions targeting the Nord Stream gas pipeline, which is in charge of logistics and finance. According to WSJ, Poland, which is also conducting its own investigation into this incident, is looking into what Germany has been investigating for months.
Following the major explosions in September 2022, experts discovered four leaks on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines. Two of them were in Sweden’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and two in Denmark’s. Western countries and Russia blamed each other for the explosions and launched separate investigations. However, none of the investigations have yet produced an official conclusion on the incident. So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for the attacks on the Nord Stream pipeline last September.
