Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev said the country has placed the former self-proclaimed leader of Nagorny-Karabakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, and the commander of the Karabakh army, Jalal Harutyunyan, on the international wanted list.
Mr. Aliyev said that these two figures were involved in crimes committed during the 44-day war in 2020. According to the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General, a total of more than 300 Nagorny-Karabakh officials and commanders have been placed on the international wanted list.

Mr. David Babayan, the self-proclaimed former Foreign Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh, was arrested by Azerbaijani security forces on September 29. Mr. Babayan was charged with planning, preparing, launching and waging war; recruiting, training and financing mercenaries, violating international humanitarian law during armed conflict, organizing terrorism and inciting ethnic hatred.
Meanwhile, the United Nations announced it would send a mission to Nagorno-Karabakh, the first in about 30 years, to address humanitarian needs after Azerbaijan seized control of Nagorny-Karabakh and led to a massive exodus of refugees.
