Apple has officially released the first betas of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 to developers to bring a series of Apple Intelligence features.
Accordingly, the iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 beta 1 updates will be tested by Apple alongside the current iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia 15 betas.

Developers can opt in to the new beta with Apple Intelligence or continue using the iOS 18/iPadOS 18/macOS Sequoia 15 betas. Only iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad, or Mac with Apple silicon are eligible to use Apple Intelligence, and those eligible devices will see the update.
After updating to iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 beta 1, users can enable the suite of artificial intelligence features in Settings. There's an Apple Intelligence waiting list that developers have to opt into, but access should be available within the next few hours.
Several Apple Intelligence features are now available, including improved Siri, Writing Tools, the option to switch between voice commands and typing into Siri, summaries for notes and other content, new Mail categories and smart replies, and more.
The Apple Intelligence features that are not yet available in beta 1 of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 are Image Playground, ChatGPT integration, Genmoji, object removal options in Photos, Priority Notifications, and other Siri capabilities like the ability to do more in apps and be aware of what the user is doing on the screen.
Apple is planning to release Apple Intelligence in beta form later this fall, but it’s likely to arrive alongside iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia updates instead of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia 15.
