"A new era of spatial computing has arrived. Apple Vision Pro is the most advanced consumer electronics product ever created," said Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Vision Pro is an entirely new product category for Apple since the launch of the first Apple Watch smartwatch in 2015. Vision Pro was first announced at the WWDC 2023 event held last June.
The Apple Vision Pro virtual reality headset will come with two Solo Knit Bands and Dual Loop Bands, a replacement battery, a cable, and a USB-C charger. Vision Pro uses an M2 processor, combined with a custom-designed R1 chip.
The product is equipped with many sensors as well as integrated cameras and high-resolution screens. Users can control Vision Pro glasses with just hand gestures, eyes and Siri virtual assistant without the need for a handheld controller.
Apple Vision Pro runs VisionOS, which is quite similar to macOS. Apple is offering this headset for $3,499.
