Apple has reportedly asked its partners to cut shipments of the iPhone 16 by around 10 million units for the fourth quarter and first half of 2025.
Renowned analyst Ming Chi Kuo, citing supply chain sources, said that most of the cuts affect the standard iPhone 16 model instead of the iPhone 16 Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro has a more beautiful screen and better camera, so it is more popular with users.

As a result, iPhone 16 production in the second half of 2024 will fall to around 84 million units, according to Mr. Kuo. He predicts that Apple's partners will produce 80 million iPhones in the fourth quarter, down from 84 million units a year ago.
In the first quarter of 2025, production reached 45 million iPhone 16s, down 3 million from the initial estimate. In the second quarter of 2025, the trend continued with 39 million units expected to be shipped, down 2 million from the estimate.

The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to have the same design as the standard iPhone 14, including a 6.1-inch OLED screen, A-series chip, Face ID, USB-C port, 48MP rear camera, 8GB RAM enough to run Apple Intelligence and a 5G chip designed by Apple.
