UK and Poland perform “nature dance” on Han River

This is a competition between two fireworks representatives who have won awards at previous DIFFs, England and Poland.

This is also the final elimination night for the DIFF 2023 jury to select the two teams with the highest scores to enter the final match on July 8.

Participating in DIFF 2023 as the runner-up of DIFF 2019 and third prize of DIFF 2017, the Pyrotex Fireworx fireworks team (UK) confidently brings a magnificent "painting of light" with the theme "Light up the world" on the Han River.

Mr. Mark Bryan Kelsal, captain of Pyrotex Fireworx team, shared: “We have spent a lot of time, passion and effort on this DIFF. With the desire to bring the audience and visitors the most attractive, engaging and emotional performance, we use many different music genres to design the background music, focusing on vibrant music”.

The British representative's performance used many different and rich fireworks effects on the background of US-UK hits such as Shallow by Lady Gaga or Run, Light Up by Leona Lewis, I Want To Break Free by Queen...

According to Mr. Mark Bryan Kelsal, DIFF is a highly competitive fireworks playground because it has the presence of many big names in the world: "For example, our Polish opponent, it is known that they have used many new and diverse fireworks products with better techniques, thereby bringing a more novel performance than DIFF 2015. However, we still hope to have many opportunities to go further with our techniques."

If the British representative is world famous for its fireworks tradition, the Surex Firma Rodzinna team (Poland) - Runner-up of DIFF 2015 - brought an interesting and novel performance with the theme "Fireworks Dragon".

“We bring the theme of “Dragon Fireworks” to Da Nang – where the Dragon Bridge is a familiar sight to tourists. Throughout our performance, we will tell the story of the sacred animal that used fireworks to light up the sky,” said Jaroslaw Suzdalewicz, captain of the Surex Firma Rodzinna team.

According to Mr. Jaroslaw Suzdalewicz, choosing the dragon theme is also the purpose for the Polish representative to demonstrate strength and authority in his performance. At the same time, the image of the dragon is also a symbol, conveying the unique cultural features of Eastern countries such as Vietnam, Korea, China, etc.

During the 20-minute performance at DIFF 2023, the Surex Firma Rodzinna team used many effects, creating a strong impression on the audience.

Along with the fireworks displays are elaborate art programs staged on the main stage, such as the piano solo “Dance of the Sea” by artist Trinh Minh Hien; the songs “Wonderful Da Nang”, “Wind Dance” about the tourism atmosphere of Da Nang; a medley of the song “Firework” by Katy Perry; and the performance “Colors of the wind” from the animated film Pocahontas.

DIFF 2023 with the theme “World without distance” takes place from June 2 to July 8 at the fireworks stage on the Han River. The event has the participation of 8 teams. 7 international teams include: England, Italy, Poland, France, Australia, Canada, Finland and the Vietnamese representative team from Da Nang.
