On the afternoon of April 15 (local time), Permanent Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez Gomez received Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My.

At the reception, Permanent Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez Gómez sent the warmest congratulations to the Party, State, Government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Expressing her admiration and respect for Vietnam's remarkable development, Permanent Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez Gómez said that she had visited the country of the great President Ho Chi Minh many times , but the most recent time, in October 2024, "could not recognize Vietnam's rapid development".

Permanent Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez Gómez believes that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will succeed, firmly enter the era of rising up , building and developing a prosperous and prosperous country.

Ms. Delcy Rodríguez Gómez affirmed that, in her position as Permanent Vice President and Minister of Petroleum of Venezuela, she will do her best to contribute to the development of the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership between Venezuela and Vietnam established during the time of the late President Hugo Chávez; creating all favorable conditions to clear the bottlenecks in cooperation in the energy sector as well as other areas of cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.

“Venezuela always welcomes and opens its doors to Vietnam, especially promoting cooperation in areas where the two countries have potential and are in need, such as oil and gas, agriculture , telecommunications, tourism, science and technology…”, Permanent Vice President Delcy Rodríguez Gómez emphasized.

For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My sincerely thanked the sentiments and solidarity that Venezuelan leaders as well as Permanent Vice President Delcy Rodríguez Gómez personally had for Vietnam, and for him personally as well as the Vietnamese representative agency in Venezuela; emphasizing that the Party and State of Vietnam have consistently valued the legacy of friendship built by the late President Hugo Chávez and generations of Vietnamese leaders.

Based on that foundation, Vietnam wishes to tighten and deepen the good traditional friendship between the two countries, promote the strengths of each side, contribute to the development of the two countries on the basis of solidarity, closeness of viewpoints on international issues, and common interests in the process of national construction and development.

Ambassador Vu Trung My affirmed that he will do his best to contribute to promoting the traditional friendship, comprehensive partnership and friendly and cooperative relations between the two ruling parties; together with Venezuelan partner agencies, make the greatest efforts to continue deepening bilateral relations and creating a foundation for this good relationship to develop new steps, actively contributing to the development of each country, while contributing to consolidating the international position of both Vietnam and Venezuela.
