(ABO) On April 17, in Go Cong Tay district, the Women's Union of Tien Giang province organized a communication campaign to advise, guide and support cooperatives (HTX) and cooperative groups (THT) managed by women; apply science and technology to bring OCOP products, key products of local cooperatives and THTs to e-commerce platforms.
Speaking at the media session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Tien, Vice President of the Women's Union of Tien Giang province, said: The project "Supporting cooperatives managed by women, creating jobs for female workers until 2030" is one of the major policies of the Government, demonstrating deep concern for the role of women in developing the collective economy , building new rural areas and implementing gender equality in the economic field.

In Tien Giang , with the efforts of the entire Women's Union system and close coordination with sectors and localities, many remarkable results have been achieved in the past time. In particular, the province has organized intensive training courses for nearly 700 cadres and members to improve their skills in propaganda, mobilization, and support for women to participate in cooperative economic development. Dozens of vocational classes have been opened with the support of partners such as L'Oreal Vietnam Company, vocational training centers and the agricultural extension sector. More than 500 women have been trained in vocational skills, 816 women have been consulted on job introduction, and 428 women have participated in cooperatives and cooperative groups. From 2017 to now, 13 new cooperatives have been established, and in 2024, 2 new cooperatives will be established with a total of 35 female members, with a stable income of 3 - 5 million VND/month.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Kieu Tien emphasized: Communication activities are very important in the context of entering the stage of promoting digital transformation and deep integration. The training content will focus on the application of digital technology in business. This is not only an inevitable trend, but also a fundamental solution to expand the market, improve competitiveness and product value, thereby creating more job opportunities and increasing income for local women. Hopefully, after the communication session, knowledge will be spread, inspiring innovation and creativity to the grassroots women's community.

At the communication session, delegates were guided on issues of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on collective economic development in the locality; Decree 92/2024/ND-CP dated July 18, 2024 of the Government on registration of cooperatives, cooperatives, and cooperative unions; policies to support collective economic models, the Law on Cooperatives 2023; guidance and advice on intellectual property, application of science and technology in online business.
At the same time, equipping female managers with online marketing and sales skills, guiding the process of posting and managing OCOP products, key products of cooperatives and cooperative groups on e-commerce platforms.
