Arteventia Team (France) won DIFF 2023

On the evening of July 8, the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023 with the theme “A World Without Distance” officially ended. The championship title belonged to the Arteventia team from France.

Da Nang's night sky exploded in a feast of light and music, the picturesque fireworks displays in the sky truly connected people in a "world without distance".

At the final night, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that with the theme "A World Without Distance", Da Nang City expressed the message of connection, erasing geographical distance, bringing countries and peoples closer together with the desire for peace, love and hope for good things. After tonight, DIFF 2023 will come to an end, but the city's dreams and aspirations will continue to be nurtured and spread.

As the first performing team, Martarello Group from Italy once again affirmed the class of a "veteran" who has won the DIFF championship twice. Like the piano piece River Flow In You that the team chose, the entire audience was immersed in the "flow" of the Han River, when giant fireworks exploded to the vibrant rock melody of the song Gossip , the EDM song Wake Me Up was transformed into a country sound and certainly could not lack the classic, majestic Italian style through the classic film soundtrack Thien-Ac-Ta .

Considered the team with the highest score in the qualifying round, Arteventia from France “enchanted” the audience with an emotional fireworks display. The theme “World Without Distance” was performed very well by the team when bringing the audience eye-catching fireworks displays with French, US-UK and Kpop music. The audience kept swaying to the music of BTS’s Dynamite or Lady Gaga’s Stupid Love , and then immersed themselves in sweet emotions with the remixed love song La Vie En Rose and Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien .

The moment that all the audience was waiting for was when the two teams used Vietnamese songs for their performances. The Arteventia team almost “exploded” the audience when they chose the song Bay by Thu Minh, while the Martarello Group team moved the audience, singing along to Vietnam in my heart by Thuy Chi.

To serve the final night, the stage of more than 1,000 m2 was improved with 2 infinity LED screens, along with many effects such as laser, water music with attractive performances.

Art programs at the theater

Van Mai Huong's Take Me To The Sun brought a cheerful rhythm with lyrics that made you feel the sun and the sea. Thu Minh "burned" the stage with the mashup of Song Nhu Ta 20 and Cu That Ma Di. In particular, the musical performance A Whole New World from the classic animated film Aladdin , performed by Van Mai Huong and Tien Dung, captivated the audience. Hundreds of international dancers from the Ba Na Hills dance troupe performed acrobatics and roller skating performances that made the entire 7,000-seat audience go from surprised to amazed.

With performances that completely convinced the audience and the judges, the Arteventia team from France won the championship with a total value of 20,000 USD; the Martarello Group team from Italy won the second prize with a prize worth 10,000 USD.

The organizing committee awarded the championship trophy.

In addition, the Creativity award went to the fireworks team from Poland and the Audience Favorite award went to the JoHo Pyro team from Finland.

DIFF 2023 has contributed significantly to Da Nang's tourism recovery in the first quarter of 2023. In the first 6 months of the year, the total number of visitors served by accommodation establishments is estimated at more than 3.5 million, an increase of 116.6% over the same period in 2022. Of which, international visitors were 930,000, 11.3 times higher than the same period; domestic visitors were nearly 2.6 million, an increase of 67.7% over the same period.

During the festival, flights to Da Nang International Airport sometimes reached 150 flights/day, 1.5 times higher than usual. Da Nang City's room occupancy rate reached about 70%, of which 4-5 star hotels reached 80-85%. This figure increased compared to DIFF 2019, when that year the room occupancy rate in the city reached 65-70%, 4-5 star hotels reached 75-85%.
