The district has focused on investing in sustainable traffic development, creating connectivity and seamless connection from the national traffic network to provincial roads, district roads, commune roads, between districts in the eastern region of Tien Giang province.

One of the prominent branches is focusing on investing in upgrading the entire provincial road 877B, provincial road 872B (section through the district) to reach level III plain standards; building a bridge across Tan Thanh commune. In the period of 2021 - 2025, the district has invested in upgrading district roads and bridges on the road to reach level VI plain standards.

The traffic system in Tan Phu Dong district is gradually being invested and completed.

Regarding inland waterway traffic, Tan Phu Dong district invests in riverside wharf clusters in Phu Dong and Phu Tan communes to serve fishing, aquaculture and eco-tourism development. At the same time, mobilize resources to invest in completing the ferry terminals of Vam Giong, Rach Vach, Phu Dong - Phuoc Trung to ensure the transportation of cars; invest in upgrading the ferry terminals of Tan Thoi - Binh Ninh, Binh Tan - Cua Dai with pontoon terminals to become the main ferry terminals of the district.

Regarding the development of the power grid, the district coordinates with Tien Giang Province Electricity to invest in and renovate medium and low voltage lines, ensuring electricity criteria in the construction of new rural districts and advanced new rural communes. In particular, investing in power lines across Cua Tieu River; upgrading existing transformer stations in the district to meet the electricity needs for production and daily life of the people.

In addition, the locality also focuses on building a power grid to serve aquaculture areas and industrial clusters in the district.

In addition, Tan Phu Dong district also focuses on investing in completing the irrigation infrastructure system. The locality is investing in upgrading and completing the district's dike system by the end of 2025 to ensure prevention of high tides and salinity, and storage of fresh water for agricultural production, linked to rural transportation.

At the same time, build and complete the irrigation system to serve production and aquaculture. Especially invest in the embankment system to protect Ngang islet, promptly overcome the situation of riverbank and riverside dyke erosion, and connect with rural traffic.

Tan Phu Dong district also coordinates the construction, management and effective operation of sluice and dam projects in the district, ensuring water resources for sustainable agricultural production development.

To better serve the needs of production and domestic water, the district also cooperated with Tien Giang Water Supply Company Limited to invest in the construction of complete water pipelines to connect water sources from BOO from Dong Tam to communes in the district, ensuring a stable and quality supply of domestic water for people.

In general, implementing the Resolution of the District Party Committee and the Plan of the People's Committee of Tan Phu Dong district to implement Resolution 13-NQ/TU of the Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee on leading the construction and development of Tan Phu Dong district until 2025, with a vision to 2030 with specific goals and solutions, mobilizing all resources to build infrastructure, serving synchronous and comprehensive socio-economic development has contributed to changing the face of Tan Phu Dong district over the past 17 years of establishment.
