Impressive First Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival held in Hue Ancient Capital

This is an activity within the framework of Hue National Tourism Year 2025 and Hue Festival 2025; celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hue Liberation Day (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025).

Impressive Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival held for the first time in Hue -0 — The first Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival was held in Hue City.

The opening ceremony of the 1st Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival was staged in an epic style with a majestic drum performance and the participation of many famous artists, singers and martial arts groups. Many quintessential Vietnamese martial arts were integrated and staged, combining fire command shooting and fire magic, bringing thousands of spectators at Ngo Mon Square a unique and attractive art - martial arts program.

The 1st Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival - Hue 2025 was held for two days (March 21 and 22) with the participation of famous martial arts groups representing Vietnamese martial arts schools nationwide such as Vo Kinh Van An, Vovinam, Vo Binh Dinh... Thereby honoring and promoting the value of martial arts, the martial arts tradition of the Vietnamese people in the history of building and defending the country.

Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, affirmed that the 1st Vietnamese Martial Arts Quintessence Festival - Hue 2025 aims to spread the good meaning and profound humanity of Vietnamese martial arts to international friends.

This is also an opportunity for martial arts groups and schools to exchange and discuss the work of preserving and promoting the value of traditional Vietnamese martial arts domestically and internationally. In particular, the Festival will contribute to reviving martial arts relics in Hue such as Vo Mieu and Xien Vo Tu. At the same time, it aims to build the Quintessence of Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival into an annual activity, attracting domestic and international martial arts groups to participate.
