Carlos Alcaraz defeated Grigor Dimitrov 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 Queen's Club Championships on June 23.
The win over Dimitrov was Alcaraz's first time beating a top-30 opponent on grass. In nine events this season, the 20-year-old has reached the semifinals or further eight times. Alcaraz's career grass-court record also improved to five wins and four losses.

The Spaniard won the first service game of the match, then saved three break points in the first set to win 6-4. In the second set, Alcaraz was down 0-3 but won two service games in a row to lead 4-3, before losing the next service game. But in Dimitrov's pivotal game, Alcaraz played brilliantly to win the match, before closing out the second set with a score of 6-4.
Alcaraz maintained his perfect record in eight ATP quarter-finals this season, advancing to the semi-finals to meet Sebastian Korda, who eliminated home hope Cameron Norrie 6-4, 7-6. The other semi-final will be between Holger Rune and Alex De Minaur. The four remaining players in the tournament are all under the age of 25.
"It's great to play against young players like me," Alcaraz said when told of the statistics. "We're building a new generation and we're going to play a lot of matches at big events, big tournaments."
At the ATP 500 tournament in Halle, Germany, Daniil Medvedev lost in straight sets to Roberto Bautista Agut, 5-7, 6-7. Bautista Agut, 35, reached the semi-finals at both Halle and Wimbledon. He will face Andrey Rublev in the semi-finals. The other semi-final will be between Alexander Zverev and Alexander Bublik, who advanced after Jannik Sinner withdrew due to injury.
