The event gathered 775 excellent candidates from 400 high schools and secondary schools nationwide.
Candidates will compete in three categories: Super Cup, IT Professional and Non-IT Professional. In particular, the AI Challenge category, which took place earlier on March 20, brought many interesting challenges with problems related to artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP). This year's exams are designed according to national and international standards, ensuring high classification, helping candidates maximize their algorithmic thinking ability.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, President of VKU, emphasized: "The Central and Central Highlands Informatics Olympiad is not only a competition but also an opportunity for students to practice algorithmic thinking, solve practical problems and reach greater success in the future. The school is committed to continuing to create the best conditions to develop a generation of talented programmers, contributing to the development of information technology in the country".
With the participation of representatives of the Vietnam Association of Information Technology, ICPC Vietnam, leaders of high schools, teachers, parents and a large number of students and candidates participating in the contest, this is an opportunity to honor talented candidates, while at the same time inspiring the spirit of learning, innovation and creativity in the field of programming and information technology. This is also an opportunity for candidates to meet, exchange and learn from leading experts in the field of information technology.
According to Mr. Huynh Cong Phap, this year the total prize money of the exam is up to 110 million VND, along with many internships and practical experiences in Korea for candidates with high achievements when enrolling at VKU.
