4 banks have interest rates over 7% for 13-month deposits

PVcomBank's interest rate is currently the highest in the market, up to 9.5% for a 13-month term with a minimum deposit of VND 2,000 billion.

Next is HDBank with a fairly high interest rate, 8.1%/year for a 13-month term, with the condition of maintaining a minimum balance of 500 billion VND.

MSB also applies a fairly high interest rate with interest rates at bank counters of up to 8%/year for a term of 13 months. The applicable conditions are that the savings book is newly opened or the savings book is opened from January 1, 2018, automatically renewed with a term of 12 months, 13 months and the deposit amount is from 500 billion VND.

Dong A Bank has a deposit interest rate, term of 13 months or more, end-of-term interest with deposits of 200 billion VND or more, applying an interest rate of 7.5%/year.

Under normal conditions, banks with high interest rates for 13-month terms include Cake by VPBank, CBBank, and NCB.

Cake by VPBank is listing the highest interest rate for a 13-month term at 6% when customers receive interest at the end of the term. Customers receiving interest at the beginning of the term only receive an interest rate of 5.46%/year.

CBBank is listing the highest 13-month interest rate at 5.85%/year when customers receive interest at the end of the term. Customers depositing money for other terms enjoy interest rates ranging from 0.5-5.85%.

NCB is listing the highest 13-month interest rate at 5.8%/year when customers receive interest at the end of the term. Customers depositing money for other terms enjoy interest rates ranging from 0.5-6.1%.

How much interest do I receive if I save 1 billion VND for 13 months?

You can refer to the interest calculation method to know how much interest you will receive after saving. To calculate interest, you can apply the formula:

Interest = deposit x interest rate %/12 x number of months of deposit

For example, you deposit 1 billion VND in Bank A, term 13 months and enjoy interest rate 6%/year, the interest received is as follows:

1 billion VND x 6%/12 x 13 = 65 million VND.
