According to the announcement of Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR), the Covid-19 epidemic has caused a large number of passengers to have their trains canceled during the 2021 Lunar New Year.
Recently, the railway industry has refunded tickets for this group of customers (or reserved tickets for use within 1 year). However, up to now, more than 4,000 customers have not completed the procedures to receive a refund, equivalent to nearly 2.2 billion VND.

Therefore, VNR calls on passengers to go to the nearest station to return reserved tickets. The refund period is from now until October 31. After this time, the company will stop supporting ticket refunds.
When going to the ticket office to get a refund for a reserved ticket, passengers need to bring the original ticket "refund receipt" with the ticket return stamp and valid identification documents to the ticket offices at the railway stations to receive a refund.
In case of losing the "ticket return form", passengers must fill in the form at the station in lieu of the previously reserved ticket return form. Passengers can also call the ticket sales hotline 19001520 (HCMC) or 19000109 (Hanoi) for specific answers and instructions.
