(Dan Tri) - Since the conflict with Russia broke out in February 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly expressed his gratitude to the American leaders and people 33 times.

In an unusually tense meeting in the Oval Office on February 28, both US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had not shown enough gratitude to the United States.
“You should be grateful. You don’t have the advantage,” Trump said, adding: “You should be even more grateful.”
Mr. Vance continued: "Have you said thank you once during this meeting?"
It is possible that Mr Trump was referring to Mr Zelensky’s attitude towards him personally, as Vice President Vance seems to have been. However, as this heated debate has shaken international opinion, it is worth noting that President Zelensky has repeatedly expressed gratitude to the United States since Russia launched its special military operation in February 2022.
Mr. Zenlensky thanked both President Trump and President Joe Biden, members of Congress from both parties, American defense companies and their employees, and the American people.
After leaving the White House on February 28, the Ukrainian leader wrote on social network X: "Thank you America, thank you for the support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS (US President), Congress and the American people. Ukraine needs a just and lasting peace, we are working for it."
