32 works proposed for the 4th Provincial Literature and Arts Award

Comrade Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for the 4th Provincial Literature and Arts Awards, spoke at the meeting.

The 4th Dien Bien Provincial Literature and Arts Award attracted the participation of 52 authors, with 189 works, in 7 majors including: Literature, poetry, fine arts, photography, folk arts, dance, music. With the responsibility assigned by the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association has examined and reviewed all the works considered for the award, the result: 160 works of 44 authors are eligible for the award. According to the assessment of the Preliminary Council, the quality of the works participating in the award has been raised in terms of ideology, content and art, deeply reflecting the quality, creative labor of literature and art, closely following the reality of contemporary social life and innovations in Dien Bien homeland. Most of the award-winning works have been displayed, exhibited, won regional awards and Central Professional Associations.

After reviewing and discussing the results of the preliminary judging panel, the Awarding Panel unanimously selected 32 outstanding works to present to the Provincial People's Committee for awards. These included 7 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 7 third prizes, and 11 consolation prizes.

Representative of the provincial Literature and Arts Association spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, the members of the Award Council discussed the regulations and principles for awarding the award, evaluated the works and authors participating in the award, and compared them with each criterion in the issued award regulations. In a democratic and objective spirit, the Council conducted secret ballots and ranked the works in each field according to the prescribed award structure.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for the 4th Provincial Literature and Arts Award, acknowledged the objective, impartial and frank working spirit of the Council members. Thereby, the meeting to consider and recognize the literary and arts works participating in the award was conducted in accordance with the regulations and rules, meeting the requirements and quality set forth. Comrade Vu A Bang suggested that immediately after the meeting, the Standing Office complete the entire content of the minutes; review and complete the summary report; develop a plan, ensuring the best conditions for the summary and award ceremony.
